Everybody HUAT Ah!!

It's CNY eve today! Counting down...

I believe most Chinese families have put on some decoration items at home, office or shop to welcome the year of ox. Something like this...

Oh, by the way, photos above were shot when I was in Singapore for X'mas. It's at the China Town, the CNY feel was more than the X'mas feel.

I don't decorate house for CNY. Well, put it this way, I like to decorate but the problem is I hate to follow up to take it down after the festival. So, my house is plain looking, as plain as normal days. Further, this year my family can't celebrate.

But too plain without any red and orange colors would not feel like celebrating CNY. So I made a couple of orange snow men in the office with hope that I have 柑 ("gold") in the office forever, or as "forever" as I am with the company...

A pair of orange snow men, 柑(金)人. May be I would turn to be a 金童 this year in the office. Haha... then I need to find a 玉女 then...

Even with that, I feel a little insecure without the presence of God of Wealth. Also because tonight eve I would not be "welcoming" the God of Wealth at home due to my father's passing. Fortunately, my friend gifted me a DIY GoW on my last day in the company...

This isn't a tough one for me, I am very experienced in making such thing. So I quickly made one after wrapping up all my works before I headed home for a week long CNY leave.

Gong Xi Fa Chai!! From God of Wealth!!

GoW will be following me in the office and wherever I go. Now I feel more secure. Hehe... The God will definitely bless me and fill my workplace with wealth. Indeed, the first bless has came true on the same day! My American boss stayed up late at his night time to inform and congratulate me on my pay rise!! Yoohoo!! Thanks boss! And of course thanks God of Wealth too!

While I am out for a week long, I nicely place the GoW on my workstation dock...

I am pretty sure I will be fully blessed by GoW and my workplace will be flourishing with good fengshui!
