Jenjarom FGS Dong Zen 佛光山 东禅寺 Temple
It was one of the days in CNY I got bored to visiting houses, and wanted to travel a little for something new. I wanted to visit this temple since 2 3 years ago but it was never materialized until this year of Ox.
It's just a quick trip to ponder around the temple, in particular for the lighting, I did not fully explored the temple. Surprisingly there weren't many blogs about this temple when I made a search in technorati, perhaps 1 day I should return there for more detailed discovery.
Anyway, some photos to share here. I would recommend this temple to those who have interest in photography, a good place for photography.
This post might take a little longer to load due to numbers of photos.
The hall...
Another hall for sutra calligraphy 抄经堂...
What you need to do...
And start calligraphing on this sheet...
Photography was not really disallowed but it's also not encouraged in this hall so you don't disturb those who are concentrating. Meaning, I was doing something bad in the hall, in front of a sleeping Buddha! Hehe...
The temple is also seeking some talents...
If you were unfortunate to lose the job due to economy meltdown, this could be an alternative. Look into the hall for openings, some even with oversea opportunities...
Going upstairs to the Relics Shrine...
I did not enter the shrine 'cause it's too crowded. Further, you need to wear socks to enter the shrine, you can buy it there though.
Another hall building...
Apparently having book fair in the hall...
Some outdoor photos...
Who say temple must be very serious? Cute figures...
The garden where Buddha was born...
I wished it was called Lamborghini Garden. Hehe... :p Berdosa ni...
The flora garden...
Supposedly to have taken some flora photos but I was rushing for a dinner. So, only the big moooo~
If you wish to visit there for photography, I recommend to arrive at evening time, say 6pm so that the sky is still bright allowing you to take photos of flowers in the garden. When the night falls and the lights are on, then you can take photos on the lighting. However, I believe tomorrow is the last day for the CNY program, check out the event timetable here.
Location, search Fo Guang Shan in MFM or MSM map.
