Mesra Usia Emas

I talked about this program 3 months ago. And because of so much of Malaysia-Hollywood or Mallywood movies in the political world of this BullehLand, I didn't really think that the remaining RM1500 would reach my mom's hands. All politicians are the same, who the hell in this world really has the ambition to work for rakyat without any benefits or gains?

But this gentleman could be in exception case...

After the 40 days period, to be exact, it was on week of 23 March that my mom received this invitation card...

Ok, it's long overdue and the ceremony had passed for almost a month! Did that mean my mom forfeited the remaining RM1500 and that money went to someone's pocket?!

"No no no, the money still there for you," said the crew in the office. "All you need is to bring this,"

"And this,"

"Original one lor, then go to this address on the envelope (second photo) to collect it," he replied and assured he "chop" if we failed to collect the money!! Daring huh?! Bet his "next generation" on politician! Bravo!

Anyway, since I was working from home in one of the days, I drove my mom to the address...

After inquiry at the receptionist counter, I went up 2 floors to Bahangian Khidmat Pengurusan (Service Management Department)...

Heading to the department...

Immediately we were attended when we walked into the office. Told the staff about Mesra Usia Emas and my dad's name. After 5 minutes, my mom was counting...

No further questions asked! no hassle! Though some delay, perhaps the invitation card did not reach my mom timely. Haiya, I missed the chance to shake hand with YAB! :P

Gosh! This was the first time I got money from government man! Cash man! Never in my lifetime! Yeah, the second time was few days after I went to collect RM625 for my road tax renewal.

So now we know who should we vote in the next general election. Or, if you are bad enough, you could pray for your parents to pass away within this 3-year period before the next election. Hehe... Damn you if you really think this way!!

No more hesitate. Go register now with your ADUN (state assembly man). If you worry about misuse of your parents' IC, cross the photocopy with "Untuk Mesra Usia Emas". And browse Selangor website for other Rakyat Program and your eligibility. Of course the first criteria is you must be Anak Selangor like me. ;)
