Ka-Soh Fish Head Noodle @ Imbi
This post has been long pending, and there are more in the queue. Look at the posts I have for last month...
Only a mere 9 posts. I am afraid this would continue till I settle down in my new job. Anyway, quality post is better than quantity right? ;) Allow me to clear off the backlogs.
This restaurant used to be a lobster house, a restaurant that served fine lobsters. I guess because of economy, the restaurant could not sustain the business and it was then closed and reopened to serve something that is not as expensive as lobster...
The Ka-Soh (daughter in law) Fish Head Noodle and Seafood restaurant. The name is good as it indirectly hints the customers that the restaurant is not a fine dining restaurant, it's home cook style, like the one cook by Ka-Soh, if you have one (Ka-Soh) at home. On the other hand, not many Ka-Soh can cook good food nowadays, some even don't know how to cook at all! So we have to examine the food by this "Ka-Soh" before comment anything.
Upon checking the menu, we realized the restaurant served dishes like what you usually get in Chinese restaurants. Even the setup was like Chinese restaurant rather than "Ka-Soh's" home...
Since only 2 of us, we left only few choices of single serving and decided to go with the fish head noodle that looked like this...
Above was with fresh fish fillet and below was fried fillet...
Ok, this Ka-Soh just passed the passing point. The serving looked good and the fish was fresh, but I think the soup wasn't the authentic fish soup (may be it's chicken or vege or other soup), it tasted a bit weird to go with the fish. It could be better if the soup was cooked and made of fish. Or may be I just had a better fish head noodle few days ago before I visited Ka-Soh restaurant. Nevertheless, the restaurant serves other dishes too, it would be good to get more people to join for lunch so that I could justify the food quality from other dishes, instead of only 2 bowls of fish head noodles.
The restaurant is just across the road from Wisma Technip...
And the address...
