Travel Travel Travel...

Travel, travel, travel.

Yeah, I am on business trip, again. It wasn't as frequent as past few years that at least twice I gotta fly into now the so called "swine flu transporter" country, the States. But this time I will be in the States for quite sometime, longer than any previous trips. Sigh~

Some people said, oh, didn't sound like "said" but more of "condemned" and "cursed" that I am damn bloody lucky, flying to the States more than anyone who is more senior than me, especially company is currently cutting travel cost but I am still able to fly. Some challenged my capability that I always get easy job assignment and now trying hard to bring me down on my new job assignment. Well, perhaps they have better chances now 'cause all my previous jobs were dealing with mat salleh, I will need to rely on them more in my new job, some are friends though. Sadly, those who are not friends (yet) are so warmth to offer helps to me whereas those I know as "friends" seem to be the one who attempt to bring me down. How "lucky" am I to get such friends.

But am I really that lucky? To some extent, I agree. For example, when I was hit by obstacles, bottleneck or crisis, I so far managed to breakthrough after some struggles and drowns. Having said that, I am lucky not to be dead because of those bads happened to me but it was also because I fought them hard. And do they know I struggled for my past 2 years? So, what I have now is not a gift from my luck, but I deserve it with my hands. I learned from a Chinese movie, 幸运在左手, 命运在右手, 努力靠双手. It translates to luck on your left hand and fate on your right hand but you must work with your both hands to achieve what you desire. Did I do wrong with my luck and hard work? Anyway, some people just know how to jealous, curse and jeopardize whoever better than them but never learn to control and improve their own fate and life. It's good experience though, you will know who is true friend who is not.

Since I am so "lucky", my new boss assured me nothing will go wrong with me when I fly into the States, in particular, Houston which is located just 5 hours drive from Mexico border. This trip has been postponed 2 times due to my "kiasi-ness", I don't think I can delay anymore without upsetting my new boss.

As usual, I know I am lucky, well, perhaps, but I don't depend on my luck to save me from the influenza. Let's see what I bring to comfort my kiasi-ness...

Dozens of gloves. Useful when I need to use public items like trolley.

The masks. To cover my macho face. Oh it's also crucial to entitle me welcome home hugs and kisses from a hot chick when I return. Oh baby~ can't wait to see her, I hunger for her hugs and kisses. :P

Surface disinfectant to kill the germs on the surface that I need to touch. For instance, the lavatory in the plane. And the one that I will use it most...

The antiseptic hand spray.

Not only the above, I am so kiasi that I bring my own medication...

The Panadol Cold & Flu. My personal guarantee to you, I highly recommend you stock up this at home. This Eno-like medication proved to be effective on many people! But have not proven over swine flu yet. Hehe... You can't get it in Bulleh Land, but it's available everywhere in Kiasu Island. Make sure you get the one manufactured in Spain or Ireland...

As a backup, I bring some pills too. Not the infamous blue pills Viagra, but the blue Panadol Flu Max pills...

Prevention is always better, Chinese herbs sometime come handy for "heaty body"...

The Ho Yan Hor herbal tea plus few packs of bitter melon tea as the replacement to my daily fresh bitter melon juice...

Looks like I am well equipped for the battle. Oh, wait a minute, I need another thing...

Salonpas from Hisamitsu. This has nothing to do with the flu, but since my boss asked me to stay in another hotel that I have never stayed before, I need the Salonpas if the bed is too soft for me. Hehe...

Hope to see y'all soon! In flu-free condition!
