The Fight For The 'C'

When study, C is a no no on the report card. When I was studying, one written C on the report card equaled to at least a practical C on my buttock. Yeah, 1 C 1 Cane from my dad. Not only that, multiple Canes if the C appeared on the kelakuan column, which never failed all the while. So you can imagine how solid my butt is, let me know if you wanna feel it. :P I apparently lost my rally for "all-C distinction" in the kelakuan column for my 12-year school life. My form-5 class teacher was nice to pen me an A at last on the last kelakuan column for my last semester in school in the last page of my last report card. Hehe...

When start working, ladies look for men with C-es, the infamous 5C (or now already 6C?? Or more??): cash, car, cards, condo and career and whatnot if there are more. Likewise, men also look for C, C for Chicks. Or the best to get double shot, CC = Chun Chicks. They will strive to achieve the 5C so that they can marry the Chun Chick, while the Chun Chick aka lady of course will hope the man who now the hubbie is not a C man, Con man.

On the business, people also fight for C. Like this...

A news title from thestar. It's the court case between McDonald's and McCurry since years ago, fought for the exclusive use of 'Mc'. When McD won the case by High Court's judgment, McCurry had no choice but to drop the C and became M Curry. This case came to spotlight again recently when the Federal Court read its final judgment that returned the C to M Curry, reformed to its original McCurry. My curiosity then drove me to Jalan Ipoh to look for the restaurant...

I did not try the food though, instead I went to a roasted duck restaurant opposite McCurry (very good). May be next round to have a try there.

I believe this court case actually helped McCurry to gain fame, to publicize the McCurry Cachet for free. The owner Cachinnated but McD Choked itself.

This restaurant should not be new to KL folks, but if you are KL-blind and curious to know like me, look for Restoran M Curry in MFM map v1.73...
