Old Memories, New Collection
Lego, a brand that is so well known to everyone. The brick toy brand is gaining its popularity in Malaysia with its first international theme park in Asia, Legoland that just begun its operations not long ago.
Shell, a brand that is also well known to everyone. I believe it's the second largest petrol retailer in Malaysia after the National Petrol Company, Petronas.
Ferrari, do I need to intro this brand?
Now, when these three companies come jointly, this is what we get...
Ferrari Lego toys by Shell!
Shell Malaysia is now having a promotion campaign that you can buy these toys from RM10.90 in this small packet...
You get pieces of Lego bricks with a manual in the packet. Fix it up and you will get your desired Ferrari car...
Oh yeah, proudly present my full Shell-Ferrari Lego collection! :)
Lego has been my favorite toy since kid. It's indeed an educational toy that builds kid's creativity. You virtually can build anything with it and the limitation is your creativity. I still remember that I used Lego to complete one of my assignments in Science subject during secondary school time and scored an A. Too bad, I have donated all my Lego pieces to charity when I went to university (I thought I wouldn't "play toy" anymore). This Shell-Ferrari collection is the first Lego collection I possess after more than a decade. It brings back my old memories, from spaceship, Transformers to Thunder Cats that I built using Lego bricks. Oh well~
My collection might be incomplete without this plastic box...
The box costs RM60. I am hesitate (to buy the box) and a little disappointed. I thought Shell would have come up with a better box designed by Lego to make this collection a perfect Lego series, perhaps a Lego designed Ferrari garage box that keeps all the vehicles in the garage, or a simple Lego base like the first image shown above. I will not mind to pay a little more premium for that. Anyway, I think I will head out to Toy R Us to see if I can get a matching Lego Building set and "build" my own Ferrari garage, since I am not capable to own real Ferrari in my real life garage :)

I always like to reward Jacko.MY readers :) If you are struggling to get full collection and if you live in lovely Klang, you can try this Shell station...
Shell Sungai Agas (in MFM map, GPS N3 04.041 E101 25.673) located on Jalan Kapar, near to Carrefour Kapar. The station has full range of Lego sets...
Including the figurine and the RM60 box. According to the site operator, there is an extra box for each model in the store room, as of today.
According to Shell global site, it looks like Malaysia is the fifth country in the world to have this promotion, right after Singapore. Lucky Singaporean like my bro and friend, they missed one of the models during Singapore promotion and now happily picked up the missing set from Malaysia. For Malaysian, I think we will not be so lucky if you miss, so grab yours as soon as possible! Hurry up!
